Now at the canal ! Will try and spot a shoal of roach The curse of city fishing! This is also where I cut off … I will walk down to the canal from here! Loads of people are going on about this being the first week of the season – it does not look like it to me to be honest – I mean it is bloody freezing out there, well not freezing like -15 however a pretty chilly 8-10 degrees – and it has only been like that [...] This is a three part post – today the setup and later all going well will be the reveal – I will then give you a bit of time to think before I act. This will be a hard task my friends – I do not want to say at this stage what it is [...] Nicolas Valentin is an employee of the Glasgow Angling Centre – I have got to admit he is one of the guys that actually changed my mind about the place – I used to stare at the rows of rods through surly eyes and complain at the lack of soul the whole store had! For [...] So Sunday evening I had a big family meal – full of fajitas I decided I wanted to go and catch some fish – problem was I could not be bothered getting my shit together to catch some trout – I stringed up my Loop Pike Booster and “ahem” boosted a few hundred yards from [...] You would be forgiven for thinking I have not done any fishing at all over the last week – as it is I have been chasing Pike on the Forth n’ Clyde canal and attempting evening sessions on the Kelvin – both did not amount to much mainly because I was half pished [...] OK – I think it would be pretty neat if some of us could meet up for a wee evening session – we have got to come up with a place – this will obviously be based around numbers, for example if a few folk fancy it then we can meet up in [...] What I wanted to do was get the boy and wife in the car and head for the hills for a couple of hours – I could have a cast at trout in a burn and the family could watch at a respectable distance – no doubt impressed not only by my fish [...] |
