Willie Yeomans (the River Clyde Scientist who is obsessed with Crayfish and who thinks I need to start jogging) posted in the forum about a new post that has arisen for someone who would like to become a “Kelvin Catchment Trainee”
Job title – Natural Communities Trainee: Kelvin River Catchment . Based in Glasgow.
Yea – that is correct – it was me!

Some people just love to hear about the River Kelvin Angling Association – it is an association of anglers that is going from strength to strength. You see the thing is the association has totally turned itself around [...]
Just a quick update as I know there will be some people unable to attend the EGM.
As EGM’s go it was pretty boring – no gunfights, no “dance off” between rival factions and only one heckler – and even he is a long gunmen who really should be given his own place on the [...]
Long story short I caught feck all and had my picture taken holding a spinning rod – is this what I have been reduced to?

A site run by a fly fishing anarchist intent on exposing what he perceived as being the incompetent running of his local club the Loch Lomond Angling Improvement Association has been instructed to close its doors by his web hosts.
The site started simply enough – one mans dream of sharing his passion for a [...]
Okay so it is my first weekend free after being back at work – I wanted to continue my anglingtastic extravaganza after the Friday nights shenanigans so I visited the Glasgow Angling Centre today as it was the open day – tragically it all went horribly wrong – as usual I have worked out how [...]
Was reading a forum solely dedicated to salmon fishing and they were talking about the Kelvin. One chap mentioned that over the last few years he has witnessed the tributaries full of spawning fish in December – this year nothing! He does have a picture of a diseased hen fish in one of the tributaries.
I think this year at the Kelvin AGM, if someone asks about stocking Rainbows I should plant someone to shout “..and can we stock Great White’s”
