Unlike some folk I do not enjoy going for a wander along the Kelvin during the winter – It just looks depressingly dead and the trout seem like a distant memory. The water is always dark and knowing there are no coarse fish worth going after, the river just seems at a total slumber.
My pal from the states Charles mailed me and asked whether I had been tying any flies – nope that starts in January!

Hiya David – not being the best fly tyer I just stick to a few patterns – however I tie them in many different sizes with different coloured materials – I will make a dedicated post about them when I retstart tying in the new year – in the meantime dive through my archives and you will be sure to find some.
