You know, there are actually parts of the Kelvin I have not fished yet. Here is a nice little bit that I have not given a bash. This season I have made a deal with another of the Kelvin fishers that we will try and get to some of the more inaccessible areas.

  1. Alistair, this is one of my favourite stretches, in fact, i almost fished it exclusively last season and would be delighted to give you a guided tour of the pools and runs, it fishes especially wellat the start of the season

  3. I am not 100% sure where they were caught, it was Mike who has some comments here that sent me them.

  7. Just a thought,but I have started to teach my son(12)
    to flycast and I think he`ll do OK.The reason I`ve
    mentioned this. is because most of the junior members
    I`ve seen on the river,are either bait fishing or
    spinning.I wonder if the association had ever thought of holding say one day a month to help teach some of them to flycast.I think in the long run, it would be
    good for the river and club.As well as learning to
    flyfish,hints of how to treat the river and banks
    could be passed on.I would be willing to give up time
    if anyone else was interested.

  8. Sounds like a great idea, th eonly problem is organising it. THis is something that could have been discussed at the AGM.

    Hmm, you should give Dougie a phone with that one as well I would think !
