Flies you just dont want to fish!! Some peoples flies just look too good to fish!! It made me think what makes a populour fly tier. In the states you have people like AK Best who are obviously masters at what they do but when it comes to the UK I was trying to work [...] For some stress relief I had a gander through some of my old posts. After all this blog is a diary for myself to remind me of nice times in the past… He He….jeepers…I mind that hot day I was stuck doon a ditch…or the day everything just seemed to go right and I caught [...] You might remember a while back I posted about a forest walking machine and how badly I wanted one. Well there is pretty much no way that I could afford to get one but there is something I could get.. Yes, its a mini walking machine. They only cost a tenner as well. I say [...] I have upgarded my blog and now have a completlet different layout. It is in fact rather nice. I may keep it for a while, or chop and change. I dont know yet Should have posted this on valentines day but what the hell….. head over here and read it! I bought a book off ebay a while ago. Its a book called Dances with Trout by John Gierach. Anyway, it had an inscription. It was stated in the auction so I was not bothered but the more I read it the more I wondered. It reads:: 10/18/94 Dear Dad, I hope we can [...] coughing, sore throat, sore chest. Im ill. Off placement. I feel awful. Like really bad. Bloody awful in fact. Wouldnt mind a shot at that ice fishing malarky. I have a friend over in Sweden who talks about it and says that it is most fun Red Wine….love the stuff. Once I start I cant stop. I mean well…….a couple of (decent) glasses is like half a bottle right? If you keep it for another day but with a stopper in it will taste just as nice, if not better. Better because the air has had a chance to get around [...] Someone left a comment on this post that was pretty interesting. I am reposting it here as I have configured the blog to only show the last 5 posts or something. Some people were complaining that as I post pictures it was taking a while for the full month to load……you live n learn I [...] |
