I was chatting to someone about where to tie up flies. I need somewhere with good light so I really should tie in the Kitchen. I usually end up doing it in the living room- taking up nearly half the room. I stay in a small flat and cannot wait until I have a house where I want to have a little den with all my rods and fly tying stuff. The old ball n chain says “No way” but I have got my eye on one of these desks…..
The luscious brown suede leather sits atop a 1/4-in. foam pad placed inside an excavated pre-carved 15-in. radius panel. The decorative fish and mayfly are fabricated from bent metal that was heat treated to produced the rainbow color effect.
Decorative spalted maple is featured on 37 of the desk’s drawer fronts with the grain, cut from one long board, continuing in perfect symmetry across the faces.
The flat desk top is fabricated from a 1-1/4-inch, 125-year-old solid slab of walnut. All tongue and groove panels are hand-made and were selected for color.
Im not sure whether it will fit in with the Ikea scheme that is going through the flat just now……..I wonder why it does not have a price tag?…..
it’s a bit under $20K USD. you could buy one of everything in ikea…..
