When I first started regularly taking photos of my fish for this blog it was with a wee digital camera – it was a little thicker than a credit card and took alright photos – good enough for the blog anyway.
Over the years my digital cameras changed – they were never expensive however most of them were waterproof and I do not think any of them were destroyed. Of course now all the photos are taken by mobile phones and aside from an older phone spending the night in the Kelvin and having to be sent away to be fixed there has been relatively few mishaps.
Even when I had my old digital cameras I used to save back ups on to google photos. Something I really enjoy about google photos on my phone is its ability to remind you of things that you had forgotten about almost every day – it throws together pictures that look similar and faces that are the same – inevitably it reminds me of fishing photos from many years ago. It also lumps pictures together that have been taken in roughly the same place – so I can see where abouts the photos have been taken. I strip all that data before I put it on the web of course as I aint some exitable ass on youtube that craves “the likes”.
Something that always surprises me is the diversity of the trout in the Kelvin and here is just a few….
Some of them look like your standard Clyde Trout however I like to think the indigenous trout are the ones that look just a litte bit ragged what with all the abuse they have put up with over the years – what with the interlopers n’ all.
See ya on google photos !
