You know, I might just have caught my last trout of the season today, well from the Kelvin anyway. I fished one of the tributaries and it was pretty dour, the water was at a good height but there was just no action at all, no fly life and no rises. I headed down to the Kelvin and watched some guys spinning for Salmon, in fact got talking to one guy who has caught a few salmon this season….returned them he says…good stuff! I eventually got a little desperate as it looked like I was going to be walking home without catching a fish so put on a little wet fly to see if I could pick up a Sea Trout, got a little trout.
The water was quite big and very, very cold.
I also met someone who I have been mailing for a while; it’s always nice to put a face to a name ïŠ . We had a chat about weird things we have found in the Kelvin and it just so happens that today I found a word processor whilst wading up the river, it was in the middle. Possibly a writer decided to pack it all in or a uni student decided to bugger that essay……who knows?

Alister,
End of season and we finally meet each other. Had the same result on last day, seen fish but did not contact with any. I have enjoyed my first season fishing the kelvin and look forward to learning different technics of how to fish a small river. Word processor in the river may belong to author of Tales From The River Bank HA! HA! Sad news about young female found in the river.
