OK, I do not actually have any photos of an actual fish so you are just going to have to take my word for it. My problem with taking photos of fish is that my camera is now my phone and it is fiddly opening the thing up to take a photo of a wriggling fish. I need to get my dedicated camera out again.
Anyway, I had a spare few hours and decided that the Kelvin had been spared of my attention as of late. The day was bright with some clouds and the temp was hovering around 16 degrees.
I decided on a run with just a few pools and found the water up around a half a foot or so and was slightly coloured. As I waded up the pool I marvelled at the junk that somehow ended up in the river. I fished the runs and finally caught a nice trout at the end of the stretch. Realising that it had only taken an hour or so to fish up I headed to the car and bolted to the Summerston stretch and then walked back to the Vet School.
River looked lovely and fished the pocket water and missed a few rolls on the dry fly – I had discarded my dopper a while back as the trout appeared to be missing it perhaps due to the dropper.
Caught my trout on the klink (my last one) so the vice comes out again soon.
