Headed south to the river – it was cold in the morning. The chill only left the air just after midday.
There was some good hatches in the afternoon however no trout rose to them.
At around 3.30pm a trout rose in front of me and displaced a fair amount of water – I cast over it twice and it took. I tightened, it swam towards me, my rod was bent with a heavy weight and then it was gone.
Two more trout rose just above me and they did not rise again when I got to them with my fly.
I decided to head home to see my boys however got stuck for an hour in traffic at the Erskine Bridge.
Still a good day though!
