One of the weirs! A boy died here last week – he fell down the embankment into the river on the way home from the pub!

I might have got the numbers mixed up! This is the remnants of north woodside flint mill- one of many mills close!I the river! No rain means the kelvin is down to its bones The infamous big blue pool …. can you guess why? This building caused a lot of problems ! There used to be a nice garden and cafe hang out next to the river ! Now it is flats – as I was writing this a nice trout rose below me! Not just fishers use the park! Fishing buddy Alex got a parking ticket here while fishing last week! Lovely runs- so clear looks like a chalkstream in places! First pool we come to – I have the boy with me – is the fanny pad pool …. Like I say – a few mins later I am in the kelvin corridor next to the river! |
