		<description>I think those are  Asian grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) which come from northern China ans Siberia. They&#039;re more than capable of surviving at Scottish temperatures. I don&#039;t know how well they&#039;d do in the Kelvin, but I think they&#039;d be happy enough in the canal. You used to be be able to buy them as pond fish, but I think the EU has banned them now.</description>
