As usual at this time of year I am on the lookout for some good books to read over the winter- that whet my appetite for the coming year. I was discussing the end of the season with Mike on our last trout session together; we both agreed that we did in fact enjoy the [...] So Alex and I had some serious small stream action at the weekend, coupled of course with a hefty dose of big river action. The small burn is part of the Kelvin system and had a nice amount of water in it due to there being a spot of rain a couple of days before. [...] Here is one I missed earlier….. I mean the water had settled from the day before- a little lower and clearer but there was very little action.
